• The Distinguished Teacher Award Selected Recipients are honored during the Banquet with a short presentation from their school and each selected recipient receives special recognition from the Denver Teachers’ Awards. 
• The school of each Distinguished Teacher Award Recipient gets recognition from Denver Teachers’ Awards.
• Two Helen Phelps Awards are presented at the Banquet. The selected company is recognized for outstanding volunteer contributions to Denver Public Schools. The selected individual Helen Phelps Award Recipient is honored.
