• All teachers nominated for a Distinguished Teacher Award are recognized at the Banquet.
• The Distinguished Teacher Award Selected Recipients are honored during the Banquet with a short presentation from their school and each selected recipient receives a check for $1,000 from the Denver Teachers’ Awards. 
• The school of each Distinguished Teacher Award Recipient will receive $650 from Denver Teachers’ Awards with the Recipient Teacher designating the program to receive the monetary gift.
• Two Helen Phelps Awards are presented at the Banquet. The selected company is recognized for outstanding volunteer contributions to Denver Public Schools. The selected individual Helen Phelps Award Recipient is honored and receives a check for $1,000.
